Tax Responsibilities:
- US Promoters (US Citizens/Residents): Must provide a valid W-9. If total payments exceed $600 in a calendar year, we will file Form 1099-NEC with the IRS as required by law. Note: Failure to provide a valid W-9 may result in 24% Backup Withholding.
- Non-US Promoters: Must provide a valid W-8BEN. Payments are generally treated as foreign-sourced income and not subject to US withholding, provided valid documentation is on file.
- Independent Contractor Status: You are solely responsible for reporting and paying all applicable taxes in your country of residence or citizenship.
